It all starts with great people! At the core of Wishabi's success are the incredible people and unified team we've built together. We love what we do, and absolutely love who we're doing it with. We empower our team with ownership and responsibility, along with the freedom to take risks, challenge conventions, and ask questions in a supportive environment.
The Wishabi culture is best described like a varsity sports team. We play hard, work hard, and have the best time doing it. Like a varsity team, the team thrives when every member is the best version of themselves -- personally, spiritually, physically, and throughout their relationships with others. We value teamwork and truly embrace the philosophy of "team over individual".
We believe in solving big problems and not being afraid to experiment. Everything that our team does impacts the business in a big way -- from Engineering to Business Development, and Marketing to Operations. We love challenging the norm and busting through preconceptions of what "should" be done.
Step inside our office and you’ll quickly notice that Wishabi is unlike your typical corporation. We have a completely open and flat organizational structure where everyone works together towards common goals of growing and improving the business. Trust is at the core of Wishabi’s culture and we believe that our people want to do what’s best for their company and team. Need to work from home or leave for a mid-day appointment? No problems. We focus on results and believe in giving our team flexibility to coordinate their priorities, their way. With trust at the forefront, our team is empowered to try new things and continue driving the innovation we’re known for.
We’re all about having fun -- seriously! GoodLife gym memberships for our entire team, foosball tables, XBox, Kinect (you bet we have Dance Central), Playstation 4, and a stocked fridge filled with goodies...this is just part of daily life at Wishabi. We also have a company celebration event at least once a quarter… high speed go-karting, tactical paintball, wine making/blending, Ski and Snowboard trips to Tremblant and Blue, and white water rafting the Ottawa river... sometimes without the raft.
We believe in fostering a strong mentorship culture. Through a cohesive network of peer and management mentorship, we strive for our team to attain well-rounded fulfilment in all aspects of their lives. We want to grow every team member and help develop skills that allow individuals to flourish. Growth is a major pillar of our company’s philosophy -- if you're not growing, you're suffering from atrophy.
At Wishabi, you'll always be given challenging problems to tackle and we guarantee that every day will be exciting. Every team member at Wishabi is helping to build the company and you’ll feel an energy of love and excitement as soon as you walk through our doors. We encourage a flexible office environment where team members can work from home and choose their hours.
Fulfilment has many aspects and we know that the happiest people have a great time at work and at home. After a solid day of work, we want our team to rejuvenate with their families, engage in hobbies, and spend quality time with their friends. A healthy balance is extremely important to long term success.
Our office is extremely unique in that the open layout fosters collaboration and team cohesion; however, we also have multiple enclosed breakout rooms for individuals or groups that need to focus, work in a quiet area, or take calls. At the end of the day, it's all about getting great work done!
